Title: Headlight question
Post by: Steve Minor on February 15, 2003, 12:03:14 PM
I found a 12V/35W sealed beam tractor headlight at my local auto parts store. The diameter will fit a Preston Petty headlight I have. My question is, will this 12V/35W lamp burn in my 1977 6V Penton lighting system? OR....does anyone know a supplier of the correct voltage sealed beam?

Thanks, as always.....
Steve

Steve,
Back in the day, I always ran a 12v tractor bulb in my PP headlight. We always thought they lasted longer. Might have been a little dimmer than 6V but worked OK.

I can also supply the 6 volt double wire "Bilux" bulbs in strength 15,25 and 35 watts.14$ a piece.
