I am looking for a VDO speedo mount for a 72 Six days. The parts manual shows it mounting to the top of the steering head with a rubber mount which looks like an exhaust mount--is it the same? Also, does anyone have a drive cable for sale? Thanks, Brian

Yes I think the rubber mount is the same as those used to mount the exhaust. The bracket is composed of a angled bracket, a round metal spacer, and the rubber mount. The whole thing is bolted to the large steering stem nut that has a threaded hole in the center of it. The speedo is attached to the bracket using a "hose clamp".

No idea where to find one. I got one awhile back on Ebay. Try Al B. or Larry Perkins.
