Title: Cracked Piner wheel hubs
Post by: tlanders on February 19, 2001, 12:18:03 PM
My Piner wheel hubs are cracked. Has anyone try to repair them by Tig welding them? If you do weld them, will the brake drums go out of round and be worthless? Does anyone have any Piner hubs/wheel assemblies for sale?

Ted,  is yours a 72 with polished aluminum, or later with black hubs?

Tony,

It is the black conical hub, 1975 variety. The front hub is cracked also. What causes this? Do you have any?
