Title: Sachs Engine Questions
Post by: classof74 on May 19, 2003, 01:12:49 AM
1. Did Sachs ever put out an engine with an internal rotor, like a Honda CR 125?

2. Who does the best Sachs engine rebuilds?

3. Are the cases painted on Sachs motors? What about the cylinder and head?

4. Where can I find a right side engine side case cover with DKW rather than Sachs cast into it.

5. Were any right side cases, such as those used on the Monark, cast with a diagonal cut from left to right running right underneath the Sachs logo. I have some Monark brochures showing this coming right from the factory.

Thanks,

Mark

Mark,
1. 'D' motors came with internal rotor.
2. Doug wilford
3. Many guys paint the cases with cast aluminum paint. Bead blast cylinder & head. No paint.
4. I've seen a few on ebay.
5. There was one on ebay a while back that was cut like that. I think it was a DKW cover.

Buy a PVL ignition and you'll get an internal rotor.
