Title: Mid-Ohio MX Pre-entry
Post by: rob w on June 22, 2003, 03:51:46 PM
Just a reminder to all who are considering racing ahrma vintage mx at Mid-Ohio.

Pre-entry closes June 27th, that's just 5 days away. They will not accept post entries.

Whew! I'm glad I remembered to check...I'm not entered yet. Even though it's the worse track, I look at it as the "Indy 500" of vintage mx.

It's not that bad it just isn't what we think of as MX.  It is like what I remember being called European Scrambles.  It begins life as a fairly flat with minor up and down grass track.  In the past there have been no jumps and few bermed corners.  It is a decent amount of turns with generaally a couple of long straights and usually one sweeper.  Rubber band start.  I think it is definitely a track that favors horsepower and good handling is not a major advantage.  It is a race and like Rob said it is "The Show".
