There's a beautiful '79 KTM 420 on E-bay right now. It says motor by Bobby Lucas. Very clean. Check it out.

This bike went for $900. I saw this bike in person at Bobby's house last summer. It was not restored but was very clean. This makes me wonder about putting $ into my 81 420 project. There is simply no way I can complete it for less than 2000. Perhaps I should cut bait and look for a cleaner bike?

I can't believe it went for only $900. What a bargain!

Look for a clean one or spend the money and amortize it over the next 20 years of racing!!

Take it out and run it....you won't be disappointed. Every time I run mine I like it more. Smooth ride and lots of power. What else would you want?
