Title: Leaking Lectron Carb
Post by: joe-GS6_250 on July 13, 2003, 01:37:46 AM
I just got a newly acquired '77 GS6 250 XC running, but I'm getting some leakage out the overflow tubes on each side. Bike is running rich, as well. What could be the problem?

Joe.. the Lectron is leaking more than likely due to a worn float needle, may be a bad float but the odds are the valve is crusty or won't close. The lack of a seal is causing the fuel to run all the time and it has to go somewhere. Take it apart carefully and have a look. Nice bike. Had a 78 400 back when. GC
