Title: 'Piner w/Gem Reed-Jetting
Post by: metalkfab on July 25, 2003, 10:04:13 AM
Just changed from a Lectron to Bing on my 'Piner and it seems to run out of gas on the top end.Have not done a plug reading yet.Looking for clues before I start it again.Bing carb has been rebuilt and has no clogged jets, float levels are correct.Any comments or direction would be helpful. Thanks

Hi Karl,
What size Bing did you install & what size main jet is in it?
Good to see you at Mid-Ohio.

Is the reed valve in the way of good breathing at the top end?

Randy, Thanks for asking on the jetting,I'll check and post.  Ted,the 'Piner ran strong all across the range with the Lectron, mounted the Bing for AHRMA racing.I really don't know if the engine is being smoothered at high rev's,it just seems to run out of gas.
