Title: weak spark question
Post by: Steve Minor on July 28, 2003, 11:08:17 AM
Could a poor coil ground cause a weak spark? I recently hung my coil from a rubber mount and attached a ground strap from the coil back to the frame. I'm getting a blue spark thru the plug but it doesn't seem very bright. Any ideas?

Steve,  Blue spark is better than yellow.   Take an old plug (that still works) and open the gap on the Sachs with a full kick it should jump over 1/4 in.

Be sure ground strap at frame is metal to metal and not just setting on the paint relying on the screw for your ground.
