The latest issue of Still...Keeping Track shows the Penton ISDT team each wearing a popular style riding boot of the early 1970s. I think they were made by Alpine and endorsed by Roger DeCoster. Near the top they featured 3 leather diamonds in red, white and green. I wore out 2 pairs and would dearly love to find a good used pair, about size 11. Contact me if you know anything about these boots.

The picture shows the team wearing Hi-Point Boots imported by Penton Imports and manufactured by Alpine Stars, these were another of the great inovations of Penton and its riders.

Thanks Doug. These boots were great. Someday I'd love to find a brand new pair still in the box in somebody's attic!
