Sorry to trouble POG with a KTM question, but I haven't been on any KTM forums and wouldn't know whose advice to trust (a lot of bru-hah-hah out there).
I am battered and blue from bailing off of my '04 KTM 200 EXC. I thought I could overcome being six inches from being able to touch my toe to the ground. But I have to let out the clutch and jump on the bike to get going and when I get into trouble, and the bike starts going over, I can't catch it by dabbing my foot.
Tomorrow my bike goes in to be "cut" by Borelli Suspension in Mendota, IL. They say they can get a couple of inches out of the suspension and 1 1/2 by cutting the seat. However, I am getting nervous and would like to get advice from you or talk to an expert that you might recommend. A quick response or a phone number would be much appreciated since I would have to call them today. THANKS!
Lynn,
give Speedy a call ( Helmut Clasen).
He is a KTM dealer and Six-Day vet.
His # is 905-627-5349.
I bet he can help you.

Thanks a million John!!!!
I will call him first thing in the morning.

I bought two new sets of Ohlins and they didn't work well for my weight so I sent them to Kevin Brown and he turned them into magic!!!! I would call Kevin and see what he can do for you. His work number is (740)592-1692.

Thanks Teddy,
Kevin is apparently on vacation (goin' to the reunion ride). However, I am hoping that the bike shop can get a message to him to call me. I didn't take my bike to the suspension specialist for the scheduled "cut", but I sure would like to get it done while I am in Dalton so I don't miss out on any riding the following weekend.
John,
I called "Speedy". He was very knowledgable and we had an incredibly interesting (at least for me)and long conversation, but unfortunately, Helmut had no experience with lowering a KTM. (Frankly, I think that he is just so damn good that he doesn't have to worry about touching ground -- he rides on air.)

Jerry Jackson in East Moline, IL will lower your KTM. I know a guy that had his 300 lowered and he said it worked great. Jerry lowered the forks and the shock. He runs a performance busines, believe it is called JPP, call information and ask for Jerry Jackson from East Moline. If you can't find the number, post back and I will try and find it.

[email protected] does most of the suspension work for FUSA pro flattrackers using modern MX bikes. I think he may do the suspension for the KTM team. He does good work.
