Does anybody know the right markings or model number for a VDO speedo ?I have one to install on my bike but I think it's for attaching to the engine.I want to hook-up to the front wheel. Thanks

From memeory, I think it has to have 1.42:1 for the front wheel.  I am at work and can't look at one right now.

Thanks Rocket and Thanks to the Man from Mars who called me and found the correct info already listed in this forum. It is 1.42.The VDO speedo I have is for hook up to the Sachs engine (I think the very first Steel Tankers were this way). It's a shame I can't use it,it only has 2 miles on it.Damn!

Karl,

You want to trade for a 1.42?  I think I have one I can bring for you.  I'll check my stash.  If you don't wan't to trade I'll let you use it.
