Title: easing the clutch pull
Post by: Steve Minor on October 08, 2003, 03:19:29 PM
Any ideas as to easing the clutch pull on my 77 400 GS6? I always knew is was pretty stiff, but I really found out at the ISDT-RR. You almost need a gorilla's grip to work it all day. Any ideas are appreciated!

I had the same problem with my Mint 400. I solved it by doing two things: 1.Rerouted the cable taking out the tighest turns. 2. Squirted cable lubedown it. Now it's a two finger clutch.

Thanks Teddy....I'll try that. By the way, It was good to meet you at the ISDTRR.

Another question: The last front brake cable I got from Al B. (Terrycable) has this cable clamp on the wheel end that I'm not crazy about. Is there another style out there that is easier to work with and adjust?
