Title: SACHS MOTORCYCLE
Post by: Rain Man on November 17, 2003, 04:15:13 AM
I recently purchased a barn fresh 125 Sachs "cross Country" dirt bike and was wondering what year or what Country it came from. I bought it from someone close to the Canadian border. I suspect its a 1971 DKW,and it sure looks like one, but it says Sachs on the Brake drums and Engine cases.  Any information would be appreciated. Thanks  [email protected] [?]

Raymond  Check out the movie "on Any Sunday"  you will see a few Sachs bikes on it.  There were quite a few Sachs sold out west.  I know that they are big collector bikes in Italy as I sent an entire shipping container of NOS bikes and parts to a friend in Rome.  Check out the "Hercules Register"  you will find out more info.  Try Google on the word search.  Made in Germany about the same as a DKW or Prior motorcycle.:)

Raymond,
You may also book mark sachs on eBay.  I see ads and manuals come up from time to time.
