Title: Penton steel tanker specs
Post by: t20sl on December 27, 2003, 12:40:57 PM
Can anyone provide me with piston diameter and wrist pin diameter on a 1969 Penton 125?  I understand that the cast iron cylinder and aluminum cylinder models had 2 different connecting rod types.  Earlier had aluminum with brass bushing, later had steel rod with needle bearing.  What was the wrist pin diameter for both types? thanks, Ted

Ted

The wrist pin diameter is 15mm for all Sachs 100/125 doesn't matter if for early aluminum rod or for later steel rod.  You can buy wrist pins from any of the suppliers on this site or order them through Dennis Kirk. DK also has all of the needle bearings for the Pentons 100-400cc.  Piston diameter is 54mm for the stock 125cc engine, 48mm for the stock 100cc.
