Title: respoking front wheel

I am about to respoke my 74 six day front wheel I thought I read somewhere that the hub is offset 1/2 an inch is that true ? and if so  left or right ? and what is the best way to  go about doing that. Thks BT

Brian  The front hub is a straight hub and is not offset that I know of, I've laced 20 or 30 of them.  The pattern is easy and if using the original spokes, the hub will center easily.  Make sure you sort the inner spokes from the outer.  You can tell this by the angle that the top of the spoke is bent.

Thanks Kip for info.... I laced another one last year and I thought I read it after.... it seemed to work fine and I left it ... now I will continue with what I did before   HAPPY NEWYEAR to all in Pentonville.....bt
