Hi VMX,
I just read the story of the 1980 500cc GP in Europe on your website.  I knew there was always "bumping" in racing, just look at the cover picture of RacerX this month, but I had no idea Lackey got screwed the way he did.  Thanks for the article, it just gives me more respect for what Brad accomplished in '82!

Thanks Mick - it's one of my favourite Motocross Action Magazine articles and shows how gutsy and determined Brad was to come back and win in 82.

Knowing how often the press gets the story wrong, I would be interested in knowing if the story truly represents what happened.  Was anyone there?

I just sold my 81 250GS- fun bike, real grunty power. PIstons are expensive though!
