Title: 125 Sachs Piston Question?
Post by: Dennis Jones on April 06, 2001, 11:47:13 AM
I am doing a top end on a 125 5A iron barrel. The piston was already removed and the corners of the skirt are beveled off at 45 degrees. 2 look smooth like they were cut and 2 look rough like maybe broke. All the pistons I have ,have square corner skirts. What should this engine have? Thanks in advance.

Dennis
The piston is a "early" Sachs style, not the same as the later radial head model. They have different grooves up towards the rings. Al Buehner or Larry Perkins can help you out!
