Title: D.I.D. Rims, Stock on Pentons??
Post by: rob w on March 20, 2004, 11:48:58 AM
Greetings fellow Pogsters,

I have a suspiciously stock looking front wheel off of a '76 Penton which has a D.I.D. rim on it. I know that Sun rims were the norm in those years, and I've heard (but not seen) that D.I.D.'s were used for a short time but were replaced because they were soft (I might be confused now, there were shoulderless Akronts also..right?). Anyway...I'm wondering if D.I.D.'s rims were ever used stock on Pentons. Thanks,
Bob

As far as I know DID's were never OEM equ. However they were the hot set up to go to in early 70's and alot of Penton owners went that way.
