Post by: george687 on April 05, 2004, 07:12:27 PM
i have a spare sachs 125 b motor.
the head is a full porcupine with
no cutaway for the up pipe. is this
a penton motor or could it be off of
a dkw, etc.
thanks

If it is a B and the head fins have not been cut on the left side it did not come from a Penton.   For Hercules the top right side was cut.   If the right side cylinder fins are cut it is most likely a DKW.

Tyrans and Wassell trials bikes had B motors with uncut heads.
