Post by: tmc3c on April 13, 2004, 05:50:19 PM
I was doing some research on the Mid-Ohio race last year and it looked like alot of us went down and got hurt pretty bad,has Mid-Ohio done any change's to the course or are they planning to do any change's so we don't have to run in 6th gear wide open to be competitive ?

Thomas;
When AHRMA gets to Mid-Ohio they have about a 40 acre field to use for the MX track.    I am unaware who sets up the track, but they seem to think they have to use all 40 acres ( a la lots of fast open straights).    This is the only time of the year this area is used for anything but overflow parking, meaning when you get there it is pretty virgin.

Thank You Doug ! I guess if I come up there with the gearing I have on it now I shouldn't have to much problems with the fast straights being that I am running  13/58 gear combo, I guess I could do like my Dad used to tell me when I was Flat Tracking " You gotta make up in the corners what you are loosing down the straight aways"
