Title: Rechroming Forks
Post by: jchev on April 17, 2004, 09:20:35 PM
I need to rechrome the fork tubes on my 73 penton trials. the top of the tubes are pitted, not sure if they can be cleaned up or not. Any one know of a good rechroming shop.

This hint was from the guys at Bultaco West.  Take your fork legs to a local hydraulic cylinder repair shop.  As long as they are straight, they can turn them down, rechrome them then polish the legs to specification. Cost quoted here was a little over $100 to do a set.

Jeff, Here's the fork tube man, he's a manufacturer, can't say for certain if he replates them. If it were me, I'd start here...
