Title: Aluminum pipe for Sachs engine
Post by: tlanders on April 26, 2004, 05:35:55 PM
Larry Perkins, what was the name of the "trick" pipe manufacturer that was on the 6 Day you sold me? I need to write it down this time. Thanks, Teddy

That aluminum pipe I am told was made by the KTM Factory for the Sachs powered KTM bikes before they built their own 125.  However, the cones and dimensions are very much like the FMF and DG pipes from back then.  It is a rare piece as was the bike.  I many times have wished I kept it but you have used it well so that is good.

Teddy,
I would like to get a picture of this pipe.  Larry had told me about this pipe and want to see if I had one like this back in the old days.  Of course if you decide to sell or trade it please let me know.
Thanks

Ron Carbaugh

Thanks Larry for responding. Ron, if I can remember, I'll take the dimensions off of it and post them. The aluminum pipe does not include the 180 degree header, it is still the original steel. The aluminum part is held onto the steel header with a hose clamp!!!! It's a great pipe though.
