Post by: Bryan on May 07, 2004, 10:57:47 PM
Hi, I'm trying to replace my 36mm Bing Carb on my '76 250 MC5 and I was wondering if anyone might have one? the number off the carb is 2/36/102A If anyone has one it would be great! I tried getting one from AL but the one he sent me didn't fit. Thanks!

It was a bigger carb than the one that was on it originally.

Maybe the insulating ring is gone from the carb spigot mount?

Byran,Are you missing the sleeve that goes inside on the carb to pick up the difference from the carb to the intake.I have a 74 and 75 250 both have a sleeve for them,Now i just got my 77 250 and it has a lectron carb and that fits together with a rubber bootfrom carb to intake,My 76 175 also has a bing and it uses a rubber boot from carb to intake. If you look on the bing site you will see a blow up of the carb and the sleeve. Is the carb on the intake side to large for the intake? or is it to small?
