Less than 30 days to M/O. The POG has 9 sites in row "G" at the swap so see you'all there. Bring those unwanted Penton bikes and parts and unload them at the largest swap in North America!
Now you have opened the Gate[:o)]. I just was waiting to see who would start the excitement on this GREAT EVENT. *********************MID-OHIO**************************.

Oh yeah!...I was waiting for Kip to cue this up, the count down begins to VMD, or as I refer to it as..."the field of dreams". It's the most wonderous time of the year. :D I can hardly wait....giddy-up!!!!!
Trailer loaded up, ready to go, when I can leave?, a whole month yet![:0]:(

Sent in my entry today! I only know a few of you, so I'm looking forward with great anticipation! Will there be enough room for me to bring my "almost complete" harescrambler for display?
Mick, we are planning to have more display space for motorcycles this year, but we still can not baby sit the bikes that are on display. Which means it is the owners responsability to secure the bike in the evenings. I would suggest you bring the bike and see what happens. I don't think there is a judging class for semi finished bikes, and we know you are proud of what you have. Show it if you so desire.
Not to long before the big event. Have fun and see you there.
Can't decide what to ride.
Lew Mayer
Mick, Please do consider bringing your bike. I am sure that many POG'ers like myself, enjoy "in the works" bikes as much as completed ones. I definitely find great excitement in the individual components, which together make up a complete motorcycle. Heck, I get fired up over bare frames! I don't even HAVE a complete bike. What I do have is 1/2 of a kickstarter, an engine stay arm, and a fuel tank. (I've got a ways to go.) Hey, ya gotta start somewhere. TED

what color bike should I wear and are you guys sure you can get there from hear? Someone told meI can't get there from hear.
Raymond
Raymond, It's just over the top of that next hill!
I am sure this is a stupid question. But , what city is Mid Ohio held in? When you get back off the floor laughing, please let me know. Whats the nearest airport?

Mansfield,Ohio, north of Columbus and I guess Columbus is the closest airport,I think.
Lew Mayer
Bill,
You can fly into either Columbus or Cleveland. If you fly into Columbus you can visit the AMA Museum. I did this many years and it was a great trip. Also I will include a web site so you can look around at what AMA has to offer at the Museum and also the Vintage Days.

Hope this helps.

thank you all so much for the help. hope to meet some of youy there.
I'm just a lurker but a former Ohioan. If you live where AirTran flies
like I do (Atlanta) you can go straight to Akron/Canton airport which is closer than Cleveland. NFL Hall of Fame is in Canton not too far from the airport. I was born and raised in Canton and a big Penton fan, unfortunately can't get to MidOhio this year but hope to in the
Future.
Jim A
Jim,
Is there any other airlines, that you know, that services Akron/Canton?
Ron Carbaugh
Ron,
There are other airlines going into Akron/Canton but I don't go up but once a year or so. You will have to check. I know Delta does but Airtran blows them away on the fares. Akron/Canton airport is fairly
small, can't get lost there. Other flights stop there then go on to Cleveland or Pittsburg, sometimes on puddle jumpers. Check around, you
should be able to find something, other airlines do fly in there.
Canton: Home of Timken Bearings!

Thanks Jim.

Everyone knows I am an old racer, sooo I have to take all the advantages I can to get ahead. I will be leaving at 4AM in the morning for Mid Ohio. I will have the Penton X-RAY machine all set up at the front gates by Thrusday morning. Seriously, I am leaving in the morning for the trip up north with a few stops along the way. I hope to meet a lot of new people and lets all try to make this event the best one ever.
Ron Carbaugh
Lo and behold,
I just found out that my schedule has changed enough so as to allow me to actually attend. Unfortunately, I'm too late for race entries, but I'm looking forward to seeing many of you there. Do you think camping is still available? What about other lodging alternatives? See you there...........GO PENTON!
Ron,
According to my calculations, you're still facing a 50% probability rate that something may slip through the "X-ray" machine. You may need to hire the help of a professional scout...I know a good one...bring your walkie-talkie's and "the wad" :D
...or yeah, what size semi-trailer are ya bring'n this year? Just kidd'n.
Travel safe, have fun, see you there.
bob
Rob,
You are the scout. You see what time it is................I'm goneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
