Title: Finally have a Penton!
Post by: imported_n/a on October 28, 2000, 11:22:58 AM
You all have created a great site. I have ridden since the early seventies. (now 38) I was always in awe of the guys on Pentons. You all were the genuine article. I recently found a GS6 175. It is a 51st ISDT 10th anniversary bike complete with the great decals. The bike was once owned by one of you real riders as it has all the little tricks of the era that i read about. Spare master link in the frame upright, electrical tape rolled on the bars etc.
OK, enough BS hears my question. The bike is very hard to start, it has a lectron carb. Any tricks? What is the best source for getting parts for a rebuild of the carb and motor.
Does anyone else have one that I could get photos of for comparison?
Proud owner of 15 old dirt bikes, but only one PENTON!!!!
