Title: Questions, 75 250??
Post by: Rocket on June 20, 2004, 10:44:38 PM
I have a 75 250 that I am figuring on riding at the SDRR and I am curious what the stock gearing was and stock jetting.  I want a baseline to start with.  I can't find anything in the manual for either of my questions.  What are you guys running on yours?
thanks
Rocket

Rocket,
  I don't have the settings information with me, but Thomas may be able to help you.  I sent him a carburetor that worked on his 250.  If you don't get it by next weekend I will look it up.

Hey Rocket, Here is what Kent Knudson said in a past Keeping Track on a stock 36mm Bing {2/36/102} 160 main jet, #283 needle jet, and a #35 pilot jet, and a #1 {281} jet needle with the clip in the middle. They are running avgas and a NGKb8hvx gapped at .024.... I also have a technical data sheet that says: on the 54/36/102 carb that to use 165-170 main jet, a 322 needle jet, 50 idling jet,2nd from the top needle position. pilot air screw open 1 1/2 turn,throttle valve 230.................. I hope this helps!!sorry it got here late but I am just coming in off a 12 hr shift and got them all week!!

Slide=220/230
Main 152 to 165
pilot=35
needle jet=276
As you can see the altitude effect
Hope this helps, Tom.......
