Title: Starting in gear
Post by: baxtermcc on June 24, 2004, 04:42:15 PM
Can a Sachs 125/5A engine be started in gear with the clutch disengaged?  I'm ready to start a '71 Six Days for the first time since I purchased it and have never owned a Sachs engined bike.
Thanks,

If you are kickstarting it must be in neutral.  If bump starting neutral until it is rolling good and then pop into second gear.  Most European bikes of old had to kickstart in neutral.
