need help to i.d. a bike- has frame #5450584096. seems like a long vin # to me-the 77 i have has a number that's only 8 digits.this bike has a fiberglass air box,250 engine,and a huge exhaust with a reverse cone tip that's chrome.also has the oval rear frame tubes.thanks for the help!;)

54=250 (the 54 can also be used as a 400 frame, you have to check serial number on the motor to see for sure what you have, 54=250, 55=400).

You found a 1975, Enduro model. Does it have 200mm Ceriani forks with gusseting blades on the sliders?

That bike is legal for the AHRMA Vintage Sportsman class.
i usually don't run ahrma- i race ACR ( american clasic racing)and want something for pre 75-i'm already running in EVO open and we have a class called vintage 80's.if you're in the northeast-ya gotta check it out!:)

Whereabouts in the northeast do you race ? I've got a 75 400 that I've only ridden on a couple of vintage trail rides in the 10+ years I've owned it.I think it needs to be raced.
check out the web site acrmx.com. we run on fantastic tracks-no backyard stuff here-budds creek,southwick,broome tioga,berwick,hurricane hills,englishtown,etc. 9/4 is englishtown nj,9/11 is broome tioga ny. would love to see another KTM at the races!
