Title: 80 Watt ingnition
Post by: G Ellis on September 02, 2004, 11:58:14 PM
I had a guy email me about the possibilty of making up some 80 Watt lighted ignitions. He wanted me to post this on this website. In the past, he has made some coils up that have a hotter spark than the old red wire coils. I have used this coil this year, with great resaults. I do not know the price, but he thought it would be around or cheaper than a PVL. I would like to have some input on this, and would like to know if anybody would be interested in something like this.

I was talking to some guys at the races and they told me they were using Motoplat ingitions on their Cz's and were using a PVL coil because it is hotter. can you do that with a motoplat? What kind of changes would it cause? I think it would make it easyier to start and would run a little clearer too, but that is just my speculations. Has anybody else did this to their KTM with a motoplat and added a PVL coil or some other brand?
