Title: Production Year Guide
Post by: Bill Campbell on September 11, 2004, 09:28:24 PM
Have received #24 Still Keeping Track and although I think I've worked out all of my bikes years I thought I would see if this little bit of information might be of some help. I still have the control slip for the engine that came with my MC5 No doubt some of the Penton guys still have some of theirs. Mine looks something like this
Type  54/250      5  (written in biro)
 Nr (number?) 6-5411794
 Lfd. Nr. ??     10777
Motor Prod. Tag  9.9.76   (Day of production)
verbaut am       15.9.76  (literal translation Block)Maybe finished
geliefert am Penton Farioli Australien (supplied to)
(Penton and Farioli crossed out Australien in biro)
My frame number is 55003536 so the interesting number is the Lfd. Nr. of 10777.
perhaps this can be of help to Bill Smith
