What is a Penton Woodsman?  Why was is made with such outdated suspension in 1977?  Or is that correct year?  Ted

The Woodsman was one of several attempts to move old Mudlark and leftover stuff.  It was basically the Trials bike with paint different fenders, different tires, some lighting, and a Husqvarna pipe.  The Mudlark, The Cafe Motocrosser, and The Woodsman all had the same mother and none of them were good sellers just a rehash on an unsuccessful idea.  That is why it is funny that they are all now very collectible.  Like Edsels I guess.
