I was wondering if anyone has some numbers for mikuni carbs for a 125 sachs. I have one that has 427, with 60 right below it. No other distinctive #'s. They don't go with any #'s from mikuni, i.e., VM 30, VM 32, for round slide carbs. I remember seeing a mikuni on Larry Perkins' championship bike at VMD. Larry or Ron, any input here?

OOPS![B)] Rule #1 when surfin' at work on a Friday night: Look in the archives before asking questions. I found a lot of answers there, but if anything new and groovy pops up, I'm all ears. This particular carb came with my Berkshire from the first owner who also put a 125 cyl on it. I've got a Bing from the 6 Day that I need to tweak a little, then I'll see how this old Mikuni still stands up.
Thanks to Dr. Doug for his surgery on "Sachsy". Four kicks and she lit right up.[8D]

I knew if I kept digging, I'd come up with something. On Pro-Flow's website, they have a spec sheet for the VM carbs. By the measurements on this sheet, it looks like I have a 26mm or 27mm carb.(hence the 27 in the 427?) Spigot o.d. appears to be 35mm and i.d. appears to be 26.5 / Bell o.d. - 44mm, i.d. - 41mm / Body length is 93mm / All this shows it should be a 26mm/27mm carb. The jetting sheet shows both 26 & 27 carbs have a 60 pilot jet.(the 60 under the 427?) I'll know more when I clean it out. Hopefully it will still work like it did in the 70's!
