Title: ignition problems
Post by: cward on June 16, 2001, 06:14:43 PM
Hello POG members, I have a 1972 125 six day I recently restored. Someone apparently converted it to points ignition before I acquired it. The points were recently replaced and seem to be good. The bike has ran fine the short time I have run it since finishing the resto but I went to start it and found I have no fire at the plug. It must be either the condensor, ignition armature or coil. I used a test light and battery to be sure the points were opening and all seems ok. Can someone describe the testing procedure and any voltage or resistance values I need to check for. Many thanks, Curtis

M427 Clymer manual or Penton shop manual will help greatly.  Contact Al Buehner or Larry Perkins.
