Actually not a complaint!!!!
What with the Winter doldrums, I have a great recipe for a crockery of Texas Red:
Here is the list of components:
2 4 oz cans of HERDEZ Salsa Ranchero/Rancherito (not the Ceasare or the Green)
1 8 oz can of pinto beans
1 8 oz can of dark kidney beans
1 yellow onion (diced)
3 to 4 cloves fresh garlic (finely minced)
1 to 1.5 lbs of cubed pork, stew meat or lamb
12 oz of dark ale (yup)
a little h20, maybe a cup
Soak (lightly) the cubed meat in Worchestershire (2 hrs)
Get a fry pan medium to hot to sear the meat (olive oil or peanut oil)
(Dr. said so, clogged arteries)
Sear the meat until golden, drain on a shop towel!! Of Course!!!
Put all in a crock pot for 6 to 8 hrs @ high...
salt to taste...
Serve up with a dollup of sour cream, Mex. Cheese, and hot buttered tortillas!!!!
Now I'm ready for the shop, to spend some time wrenching on a Penton of course....
Walk back into the house now and then to stir, but beware of the aromas!
They will make you hungry........
HH, Tom.......
I am going to try this. Thanks.
