Title: gas leakage

When I ride my bike is leaking gas out of the gas cap vents.I remember back in the 70's that people used to add a piece of foam around the gas cap.Does this work?

Thomas, I remember people doing this stiil in the 90s. You have a self venting cap. You just need a new cork gasket-Al Buhener has them in his catalog.  James

7" and 4" travel? Hmm-that makes 11" Hey! I can live with that.

James,It is leaking from the vents in the cap and I have got a new gasket from Al,could a new gasket help? Any ideas on finding foam that gas won't eat up? Thanks for your time.:)
