Title: Penton Rear Backing plate
Post by: G Ellis on February 22, 2005, 12:30:52 AM
If anybody has some old worn out, backing plates in the corner of the garage. You know the ones that are worn out at the brake cam. Get them out I can repair them with a bronze bushing. Back to factory specs. Just thought I would pass this along. Thanks Gary

Hi Gary, does that include if the brake cam housing has a crack around it?

Gary, what about a brake arm.. I have an alumimnum brake arm that has a crack in it. It is small but effects the splines. I am using an older version but would like to put the stock on back on. I have heard of guys welding stuff like that and it broke again only worse.. I wonder if they did not do it right or something. Like they did not aneel (sp) and temper it afterwards... not sure of the right process.
If you can do it send me an Email and I will send it off to you, as long as it is not too exspensive.
