Post by: tmc3c on March 31, 2005, 03:55:51 PM
Ok what is in the works for this BIG event at Mid-Ohio this year? Greg and myself are warming up down here and Macio Buddy is trying to straighten out his slice.I am buying a Bigger driver so I can knock it into the woods farther !!Ya'll have been mighty quiet up there:D

I live pretty close to Mid Ohio. Let me know how many, and where you want to play at,and what time and day. I will get us tee times. Some of the courses you need to call way ahead to get early morning tee times.

Hey Rich,We played Pebble Creek last year.Sat.morning would be best for me but I am not sure about the rest,Doug Wilford and kip Kern were my partners last year.I guess we need to find out who is planning on playing. I know of 2 from S.C. that is playing and possibly 3 if he gets that slice worked out.Do you know of any nice courses like Pebble Creek ?     Thank you for your time and trouble!!

Pebble Creek is as close to Mid Ohio as you are going to get. Did you know where you turned right to go to pebble if you turned left it took you to the old Mid-Ohio MX Park. Watched Heikki Mikkola and the Russians on KTM's race there If my Memory serves me right.

Beautiful country ! I know because I rode all over trying to find Pebble Creek in my rental car and almost ran over a Amish guy! I guess we have a winner in Pebble Creek.

How many foursomes were there last year? I will call over tomorrow and reserve a couple more tee times than last year than I can always cancel later.

Rich;   There were only four of us last year, one T time.   You should do as you mentioned.   I would say, reserve three for now.  Being we plan to do this on Sat. morning, I think will keep us from having a big turnout.   We will have to watch and see how many contact Thomas to have their names put on the list to play.

Thomas,
Per our previous conversation, it's been a long time since goofing off with Dad's old clubs. And you know the port, they don't allow any fun. Just work, work, work. I could drive the golf cart and watch the cooler though.[:p]
And all that money.[?] They pay in pesos.

Thomas,
Count me in..I'm feeling better everyday:D..I pulled my clubs out the other day and swung them in the back yard and it felt pretty good..heck I'm even going to race my '82 Husky 430CR next weekend at Bremen..Right now I'm planning on camping(well in a friend camper) well if that counts as camping anyway, at Mid-Ohio..If you or Swampfox want to stay let me know I'm pretty sure we will have alittle extra room..maicobuddy..I'll practice on my "FOUR" [:0]

That's three from S.C. ! I can't talk Swamp Fox into it,all he want's to do is bring his shot gun and try and shoot the balls before they hit the woods!! and keep guard on the cooler!:D

Oh well Thomas,
I can't help it.[}:)] They would make good practice for those Carolina dove shoots.[xx(] Besides, it would speed the game up if you didn't have to go looking for those lost balls.[:0] My little brother has Dad's clubs anyway. I would be afraid to see what they look like since the 70's.

Buddy,
Glad to hear you're feeling better. Just take it a little at a time. I camped last year in a tent and am opting for a room without a shower line,[^]not to mention wrestling with the tent by myself. I appreciate the offer.

Maybe if I can get the cooler off the golf cart, we could sit around the campfire, or watch the mx races.;)

I talked with Jack about playing with us at Pebble Creek and he sounded pretty positive that he and GIGI (his wife)would like to play if his schedule will give him that week-end off.
