Tonight was the first mini POG meeting held in Anderson S.C. and it was a good turn out.Rob Wardlow,Greg Holder and myself were in attendance, even though there was talk of the Sheriff showing up but I belive the Swamp Fox had all borders blocked. All joking aside it doesn't come any better than having a meal with guys who have the same love as you do,and that being PENTON motorcycles! I felt in AWE of who these guys know and where they have ridden and the races that they have seen.I asked a good friend what should I say when I meet with these two and he said just talk about Pentons and listen,Never truer words spoken.I felt that I should have brought pen and paper with me.Thanks Guys for a Great Evening !!

Thomas,
I just got home from work this morning from "On the Waterfront". I wish I could have made it up there and been part of the fun. Now that Bob knows where to find us, he'll have to bring a bike next time. Just make sure he doesn't take one with him.;)

Thomas,
Thanks for updating us on the first meeting. I hope it was fun for all and probably the Penton information meter went way off the wall on all the things that were discussed.[8D]

When is your meetings, and where do you hold them?
Bob,
It was pretty much an impromptu get together. Rob had come down to visit his sister and knew Thomas and Greg were close enough that maybe they could get together. I would have made the run just to hear the stories, but I am on night shift and couldn't get off. It presents an interesting thought that maybe the "Southern Poggers" could do something every now and then. I'm trying to soak up all that I can of all that I missed.[:p]

I would love to have more than a meeting here.A meeting and a ride would be cool !!, how about a meeting in the forest after a ride.Doug Wilford or was it Paul Danik that said that they have raced in Francis Marion forest? Wouldn't it be cool to see a line of Pentons flying through the woods again.

Thomas and Greg.
As you can see I made it back alright.
Thanks for meeting up with me while I was down there. It was great to see you guys, I enjoyed your company very much and was glad we had the chance to get to know each other abit more. As it often goes for some reason or another, time shared with my POG bros is always cut too short. I wished our gathering could have lasted longer, but we'll just say this is the beginning of what I hope will be a good friendship for many, many years to come.
I've always been drawn towards the mountains since living and riding in the Sierra's for a several years in the 70's. Now I'm going to be thinking about the Smoky's and western N.C., and searching for some epic trail rides in the future. I really like it down there.
Thanks again, good seeing ya'll.
Bob
