Title: 32mm fork springs
Post by: Bryson Williams on November 10, 2005, 08:49:55 AM
Does any one make sets of stiffer 32 mm springs for the Ceriani front ends?.

Dirk,
I am not sure if anyone makes what you want, but really all you have to do is purchase valve springs for a small block Chevy engine and cut them to the length you want.  You will have to experiment with different lengths to get the results you want.  I hope this helps...just my take.

Thank's Ron I'm 230 on a good day, so I'll start at about 1 1/2 and work my way back towards 1 inch.  I can get the valve springs from my high school auto hobby shop.

My concern would be coil bind in anything over that longer length.

Dirk,
You don't have to put a spring in if you are concerned about binding.  You can put a solid piece of metal...not PVC or plastic for obvious reasons.  I would stick with the springs and always put the cut end on top to where the spring mounts flush with the original spring.  I hope this helps.
