Title: Penton/Alouette
Post by: Dugwerk on July 23, 2001, 12:00:27 AM
I remember the pentons well.
In fact, I had a very, very, similar bike called, Alouette.
Chromemoly frame, Sachs 125cc, wide radial head with two spark plugs.
Left side kick start, six speed.
This bike had a one piece fiberglass gas tank seat combo.
Quick change wheels.
Any one out there know any history on this bike?

I have been looking for info on these bikes as well. I have only seen one for sale a couple of years ago in Walnecks. I bleive the company made snowmobiles and helicopers kind of like Can Am. Something to sell for thier snowmobile dealers during the summer and cash in on the great dirt bike craze. I wonder if they were made by Dalesman?

Have just the frames left of the two my brother and I bough in about 1975?  Made (assembled) in Canada, KTM frame. Cheap front fork, petcock leaked, but they were quick with the 6B Sachs.  Nothing to do with Dalesman as far as I know.  I'll like to see someone get some use from one of these frames.  $25 for my time and pay Shipping.
If they want the title and engine side cover add $50.  Vin # was the engine #, not a frame #, there were many odd things about this bike.  I think we paid about $500.00 ea for the bikes, maybe less. kc
