Does anyone know the correct color code and brand of blue paint for a 72 Piner? I did a search through the old posts regarding paint codes and found nothing for Piners. A couple of months back I sent my tank, air box, and side cover to a local body shop for painting. The said they would match it up....well to make a long story short I just hauled the painted parts from the garage to the basement (where I have an extra air box) and behold....The color is wrong on the parts I just had done...too dark.

KD, If you check the suppliers list under Tom Brosius, at the bottom of his site page, he makes recommendations using spray can and also custom mix. Good Luck !!

I think that you will find that the blue will vary from bike to bike. I had the paint color matched off of the tank on my early Piner and it was darker than my Piner that was produced later the same year. Have the part that you want the blue to match scanned. Dennis D
