Title: Help with S/N
Post by: stoo_man on July 25, 2001, 05:39:07 PM
New to Pentons (former roadie and now have a garage full of TY250's) and just purchased S/N 11152050. Can anyone help identify type, year, and displacement?

My guess would be that it was made in November of 71, making it a 72 model.  Need a little more info like color of tank, metal or fibreglass, and what does the motor say on it, sachs or KTM?

Check out the message & replies named "new guy with no clue" I think that's where somebody turned me on to the www with all the model/serial info.

Have identified the type as a 72 125cc. Tank is a green fibreglass type, looks like a mailbox. Someone said it might be an ISDE. It that so?

Thanx Rocket. Unfortunately after a Saturday tear-down, there is evidence of a major top-end slap. Know anyone who exchanges engines? This is a 125/6A.....
