Hi.. approx what year did the "Highpoint" brand name become synonymous with the Penton name and brand.. any idea? or has it always been... I got a couple "hi point" accesories with a 1974 Penton I just bought... and want to be sure they are from the same mid-seventies period as the rest of the bike before I install them..

The owners family just had them in a box with the rest of the bike..

From the discussion at yesterday's Penton Owners' Group meeting at the AMA, it had to be in 66 or 67 when the first Hi Point product was labeled, and that would have been the oils.

thanks... there is a HI POINT route card holder with the bike.. (tank top).. I think I'll put it on there.. just to "show the bike" as it enduro'd in michigan in the 70's. I just was in too good of condition to be that old.. cool thanks again
