In view of the response to one of the members of POG when a crisis was at hand and the generosity that flowed from you guys, I just wanted to mention an organization that caters to off-road motorcyclists when a need for help rises. If I am out of line in putting in a plug for this organization, I apologize. However, I am sure many of you are already aware of this organization. I am not associated with the group in any way except to make contributions.

I learned about it an very unfortunate way. I learned about it when a member of the off-road club I am a member of, suffered the loss of his son who died of injuries sustained during a dual sport ride. In lieu of flowers for the funeral, Steve asked that donations be made to the RiderDown organization. I realized that indeed this was an organization that was helping those who did need help when injured while enjoying being a motorcyclist. We contributed individually and also as a club made a contribution to the RiderDown group and I have continued to help as I can. I am fortunate to be able to enjoy being an off-roader and a motorcyclist and also ride knowing that if injured I have insurance and will be ok financially. I am thankful I can return something to the sport which has given me thrills and many wonderful memories over the years.
