Dennis , I am going to Glens Falls NY during the week of the 13th. How far from there?? I can pick it up.

Also I have friends in Rutland that may be able to "hold" it for you until you or I get up there.

Hi Conrad, Williamstown looks to be just SE of Montpelier, maybe 60 miles from Rutland. I am looking at bidding on a roller frame with motor in it if the price stays right. It is being sold as pickup only, no shipping. I'm not sure when I could get it but I'm in no hurry.

Dennis, I will be with my Vermont friends tonight for dinner. I will talk to them. I don't think we can get it picked up but we can no doubt store it in Rutland.
I have no problem getting it for you and bringing it back to Pittsburgh if/when I go if you would cover the gas from Glens Falls to Vermont. Glens Falls is 50 miles from Rutland.
I am leaving for bike week tomorrwo, Sunday but I will get emails.

Dennis,

I may be able to help, but need to know if the seller is willing to hold the bike for a while. I live in Maine and travel to VT quite often. I go through Montpelier each trip. If the seller will hold the bike for a time, I might be able to pick it up and get it to Conrad, either in Rutland or maybe even down to Glens Falls if my travel schedule works out. It will also depend on whether the seller will break it down to fit in my Explorer. I am headed to Albany this week and am squeezing in a vacation March 20. I will help if I can.

Thanks for the offer Bill,
The seller is willing to hold the bike for up to month. I don't know about him breaking it down but it is a roller trials bike so it may fit by just taking the front wheel off. Nothing like a 5 party long distance bike deal :D Maybe one of my PA buds can get it the rest of the way to Mid-Ohio. POG members are top notch!

Thrownchain, from looking at the map it looks like you may be travelling within 50 or 60 miles of this bike. While other POG'rs have graciously offered to help if you are going to M/O that would be the simplest thing. If I am lucky enough for it to stay within my price range I will contact you. Again thanks to all who offerd to help. I am always humbled by the generousity (sp) of this group, I can't imagine riding anything but a Penton (well maybe a KTM, but that's just a relabled Penton)

Thrownchain, I won the auction, another Wassell will be on the road to recovery. I will start working on the pickup and be in touch.
Conrad,Bill, and Scot thanks for the offers to help. If Thrownchain can't make the pickup it's good to know I have backup.

Dennis,

That bike is not a Wassell. It is a "Sachs 125 Trials".

Spencer, that sounds like something Uncle Ronnie would say to me [;)
How something gets listed on ebay can make a huge difference on what it brings. This making my eighth one makes them pretty easy to spot. Oh,the W639ST serial number helps.

Spencer,
Listen to Dennis...when it comes to Wassells he knows his business.  He is known as Dr. Wassell.[8D]

Dear Dr. Wassel,
Your patient has been transported on the first leg of it's journey. It's now resting comfortably in my garage, with others of it's kind. [^]

How is that for the group effort for the team, Dennis? Somehow, I think that bike would find it's way to you via China. Good effort for POG.

POG members are the greatest. Thanks to all who offered to help. Special thanks to you Trownchain for making it easy. I saw in your other post you needed an ignition cover. If the one on that bike is good help yourself to it. If it's not I have another one you can have. Looking forward to seeing you and the patient at MIid-Ohio
