Title: Steel number plates ???
Post by: gooddirt on March 15, 2006, 12:14:21 AM
On the 1972 Six Day were the number plates steel ? {the round ones} And were they aluminum for the 1973? Or did the factory use both at any given time . I have a 1973 with a aluminium plate for under the pipe side and a steel one on the forks . [?][B)]

(that I know of) They were always steel. Later on......what year was that, maybe '75-ish ?,  the front ones became plastic.
