Title: Steel Tanker Seat
Post by: G Ellis on March 28, 2006, 06:32:07 PM
I have a good seat base. What is being used for seat foam? Does anybody have some old seat foam in good shape? Hope someone can help. Gary

Gary:  I went to local junk yard and guy gave me a seat off of a quad that had the cover destroyed.  Cut it roughly to shape and then glued it to the pan.  Finish roughing it with an electric meat carving knife.  Then ground it with a 9" disc grinder to finish dimensions.  Take your time and it will come out perfect.  I have never been able to buy comercial foam even close to bike seat foam.
