Title: 1970-1971 Exhaust system style
Post by: kevin1971 on May 22, 2006, 12:19:48 PM
What did the Penton 125cc Six-Days come with for an exhaust? I have one with just a igniton coil with no lights.  Looks to be factory in Bosch magneto flywheel. So figured it was always a mx model. Points and 1 coil with blue wire. All the ones I have seen have high pipe on right with shroud and muffler built into end of exhaust shroud.  Did they all have this muffler system or did some come with a cone and stinger on end with no muffler? Also what color were the number plates? Kevin

Kevin1971,
Click on this to see what an original unrestored 1970 Penton looked like.

You other question was somewhat unclear.  The early Pentons did come with point syle ignition....but I was unsure when you said Bosch cover...did you mean flywheel?  I hope the picture helps.
