I was just checking a 125 Six Day Penton that i just bought back after owning it about 12 years ago and found that the bike was built on January of 1973. I guess I had never had a late CMF non high breather frame and wondered if anyone knows when the number break or month that the Pentons went from CMF non high breather frame to high breather frame? Any help?

I believe it was March of 73 when they went to the high breather.
we have a feb 73 build date frame that is low breither and a march that is high.

I was thinking I got my new 100 Berkshire in April(1973) and then I got my 250 at the end of the Summer. Funny thing is the guy that got the first 100 Penton that came in at the same time had alloy fenders and mine. I am thinking ( which could be dangerous[:p])mine was probably one of the first with the plastic fenders. If any one else has any info I would appreciate it.

Hi" Tom, Sorry you feel that way about me!I in no way am out to disrespect all of you or Mr Penton.Its not my fault that Mr Everett did'nt spend the money with me and help all you guys out!Im just a working class guy with a barn full of old crusty Pentons and parts and have alot of stuff from old buyouts years ago even before Mr Mefford was into Penton Parts sales!I have a few bikes i'd like to keep and someday might ebay the rest, so not out to make anybody mad! I just don't have time to take orders.I am not in a shop nor wantabee!I used to be in Service in a full line dealership and some customers can be a real pain![V]I think Mr Penton and his family will always be the trendsetters for lightweight two stroke enduro competition in america.Were all great fans so lets remember the Great Past,that the Penton Sportcycles and Mr Penton and family Pioneered for Ktm and there heritage here in America,and all of you whom were his riders and racers that helped him with there input!:)Bob,All for seeing the name remembered in the future and none to ever be forgotten!
Hi' Ron, Did your new march 73' bike still have the small forks or the 35s?I have a March bike and its high breather and has the new style sidestand mount and the new style silencer with the two holes was your bike silencer the new type or the old?Bob:)also this March bike had still alloy fenders?

My 73 Six Day is a "low breather" frame and the frame number is 30262296.
I assume the bike was manufactured in February of 1973 ?
FYI, I recently sold a 1975 KTM 250 frame which was a "low breather"....set up for motocross and appeared to come that way.
